Protect your accounts and payments
Fraud attempts often create urgency, fear, secrecy, or an unexpected opportunity. Pause before acting and verify requests through contact information you independently trust.
Keep these habits
Never share a password, PIN, one-time code, or full account credentials by email, text, or an unsolicited telephone call.
Verify changes to payment instructions directly with a known contact using a trusted telephone number.
Review account activity promptly and report transactions you do not recognize.
Keep devices and browsers updated, use strong unique passwords, and avoid banking through public Wi-Fi.
Do not open unexpected attachments or follow links in messages claiming that immediate action is required.
Be cautious of investment, romance, government-imposter, technical-support, business-email-compromise, and “safe account” scams.
Report suspicious activity
If you believe your Metrobank New York Branch account, payment instructions, identity, or contact information may have been compromised, call (212) 832-0855 promptly during banking hours. For an immediate threat or suspected crime, contact the appropriate law-enforcement agency.
